I am surrounded by bloggers (my husband and my son) and did not want to be left out. But what could I talk about? Tony suggested I make it into a blog from the viewpoint of artist's muse. It seems to be working out. It's fun to do.
My blogging is also inspiring Tony to work on updating how he presents his art on-line. He has been publishing for a long time. The
Techno-impressionist Museum went on line in 1995. It was one of the first. We also put up a site for our consulting company
TLC Systems Corporation.
He wrote about good design for a web site and called it
Art and the Zen of websites. He gets hits to this page every day. It is required reading in lots of classes and there are links to it all over the web. It has been added to the Library of Congress. Tony wrote for photography magazines back in the 60's so writing was easy for him.
Last year he created the
Techno-Impressionist Journal. He wrote the software that generated and published the journal. He writes these things because the packages don't allow him the control over how things look. This control is at the core of his art.
Now the Hobbitt came along and said "I want to blog, too". I don't know how much other artists do for their muses but Tony is most kind and generous to me. He is truly my best friend.
So Tony wrote a tool he currently calls
JournalWriter 2.0. I use it to create this blog. If you look through this blog you will see I can place images in different ways, and have text wrap around the image, or display text before or after the image. It is simple to do and is very nice to how each post looks.
I keep lobbying for new features. Since we are both using the same software for the blog and the journal, the changes I ask for are showing up on his journal pages as well. I guess you could say what I am doing is inspiring him. I bet if you asked him he might say I am being a pest. In any case, change is good.
