My name is Marilyn Karp also know as Grandma Resistance. I always introduce myself as a street fighter from the Bronx.

I'm 78 years old. I tell everyone it's an old face but a young mind. Lots of older people say that because it's true. For me it means I am still pretty good at thinking on my feet but I now have come to realize that to really pour it on, to make those really hard ones happen you need a strong body too. Today I would not be able to replace the main order processing system for a major brokerage firm like I did back in the 80's.

I haven't posted anything for several years because I became a member of the Resistance - you know the ones with the pink hats. We haven't fired a shot, but we've made great things happen. Let me just say we turned Virginia blue, as well as a number of our counties here in VA and helped get Medicaid expansion passed.

I have never felt as powerful as a woman as I have being part of this incredible resistance. I would say that as you get older you connect more with your female power. You have more confidence, more experience. The gift my old age gave me was unlimited, unafraid, raw power. So nice. And oh the brains to use it.

I have lived with and loved Tony Karp the legendary Techno-Impressionist artist for more than 50 years. My many titles include Artist's Muse. It's been an incredible journey.

It's not in Tony's DNA to sell himself. He just wants to spend his life doing what pleases him. That's including designing computer systems, writing computer languages, designing a computer controlled zoom lens that was nominated for an academy award, creating the The Techno-Impressionist Museum

Tony has created electonic books filled with his art that he gives away for free so that everyone can enjoy his work. He's always finding ways to use technology to make his art more visible to the public and more interesting to look at.
