Yesterday when I left the salon I realized I was standing in heaven. The salon's just across the road from us. We've lived here in this rural crescent in Prince William County called Hickory Grove for 5 years. And this spring the place is more beautiful than ever. It is truly magical, just like this image.
A leaf on the ground, how simple can you get. But Tony Karp saw something in this image. And so he began to play. To mold, to bring out different aspects of this image by using his many virtual tools. An artist that works in real media might have tried different brushes or different paints. But they would not have had the same level of control that Tony has. He can work on an image, do twenty different things to it and then decide to undo them all if a matter of seconds. The artist using real media would have a long and difficult task with the undo. This control over the smallest details is what makes Tony Karp's work so stunning, sometimes startling.
Tony Karp and
Techno-Impressionism is taking art in a new direction. It opens the door to a whole new world, new possibilities, new ways to touch the viewer.
We've reached a new plateau in our quest to make Tony Karp famous. Our friends are working on getting us exhibits in different places. They really believe in Tony, and that's so wonderful.
We recently created an exhibit at the gala for the Prince William Chapter of the Red Cross. We sold a few pictures which was really good, given the current economy. We donated all the proceeds of the sales to the Red Cross. One viewer took Tony's card and said he was going to work on getting us into the Lorton Arts Center.
See the magic is working. It's dawned on me that we are making progress, that the magic is working, that I have to believe.
We can see the door to the future, we are about to open it, we don't know what we will find, but we will walk through it together. So what is the source of our magic you ask. Its our love for each other, for our family, for our friends. Very powerful magic indeed.
