A tranquil setting for your bedroom
Imagine lying in bed and looking at this beautiful image. It is early spring and leaves are just beginning to show on the black walnut tree. And if you look through the branches you will see the moon. There is a slight haze in the night sky. A moment in time when all seems right with the world.
I sometimes wonder if Tony isn't making an album of the world as it once was that our grandchild and great grandchildren will look at and say "look at this, that is how things used to be, wasn't it beautiful back them." I hope I am wrong and that they will live in a world as beautiful as mine is.
Part of the power of
Techno-Impressionism is the view or vision of things that it presents. Tony takes a simple scene and is able to give you something to look at that is peaceful, serene, interesting. It is partly because it is very simple, not a lot going on just a feeling. Van Gogh put lots of emotion into his work but for me it is always a troubled feeling that I sense.
When Tony first started what I found was so striking was that his work looked like a painting but he did not "paint" it in the traditional sense. He still makes images where you can't tell if it is a photograph or a painting, but he also transforms an image into something you don't recognize or like this image into something that is just beautiful and peaceful and makes you feel good when you look at it.
Whatever it is and whatever label you want to put on it, this is the future of art.
