About this image
Tony took this picture in our bedroom at sunset. When the light is just right he can see his shadow against the wall with the sun setting behind him. You have to look a second time to see his shadow. This moment in time when the light comes through the window at just the right angle only happens a few days each year. It is only since we moved here to the country that we came to realize that the sunset does not set in the same place everyday.
It's interesting art and a variation on an image called
Shadow abstraction that I published a few weeks ago.
Musings of a muse
I'm at once hopeful and fearful. We will soon have people in charge who care about the future, who care about the children. The fear comes from watching what is going on and seeing chaos. That doesn't mean that it won't be okay it is just new territory out there. What comes to mind is what Tony always tells me.
Don't Panic.
We feel very lucky because we have this incredible body of work that Tony continues to build. We are immersing ourselves in the art. It is a wonderful way to escape the real world. We get emails from all over the world from people telling us how much they like the art. But as Tony always tells me he doesn't need to hear that is work is good he knows it is. And I know it as well. We are known out there. Even this muse is starting to get several hundred hits a day. People like the art that
Tony Karp is creating, people like
Techno-Impressionism.
We've both only recently recovered from the disruption caused by the renovation we just did in our house. It is now my dream home come true and it is a most beautiful place in which to showcase Tony's art.
He's busy printing and the galleries (rooms) are beginning to fill with some extraordinary work. This image is the first thing you will see when you enter the house.
We have reduced the price of the prints. Buy one and surround yourself with some interesting art, it will help you escape from the tumult in the world.
America is going to be okay. We have the brains and the capacity to work our way out of this mess. We will take care of each other and care of our children and work hard, just like our parents and grandparents did. Keep your thinking caps on. With change there is always opportunity.
