About this image Today's picture is the moon setting at the back of our house. This could be what the world looks like when global warming gets really bad. It is an eerie scene. The weather has been very eerie. The wind has been howling like crazy all day. They had 8 inches of rain in Central Park in New York. Something is happening out there.
Musings of a Muse I am not musing today, and it is beyond ranting. The children, the children. I read an article in the Washington Post today about how the "Climate Change Scenarios Scare, and Motivate, Kids". Perhaps the children are going to have to get out in front of Global Warning and drag us adults kicking and screaming to the reality that we have to start doing something now. In the last few days I have read several articles that have good solutions. For starters we need to invest in new technology and stop building dirty coal burning power plants.
Here in Virginia we are fighting high voltage power lines that will carry electricity generated by dirty coal burning power plants in West Virginia for consumption in Pennsylvania and New York. The villain in this scenario, Dominion Power, should be brought up on racketeering charges. The had the nerve to send us all letters threatening power outages here in Virginia and none of us are customers of Dominion Power
But congress is not going to do the right thing and of course the crook in the white house certainly doesn't give a dam.
We may need to get a whole new government elected (if our votes will even count), one that cares about the future for the children. But in the end we have to remember "use the force Luke, use the force". We have to help ourselves.clear}
