About this image This is one of first pieces of
Techno-Impressionist art that I ever sold. It was conceived down in Cape May, New Jersey one cold spring day back in the late 90's.
I love this one because although it started as a photograph it has become a painting. It is that perfect blending of art and technology. It's what makes
Tony Karp a
Techno-Impressionist.Musings of a muse I sold this picture when I was consulting for Pearson Publishing. I started taking Tony's portfolio to work with me and showing it the various clients that I was working with at Pearson. I actually sold two pictures. It was very exciting at the time.
This old muse has come a long way. Now people ask Tony to exhibit his work. That is the place you want to be. Our idea of making Tony Karp a famous northern Virginia local artist is paying off.
It is very nice to be an artist's muse. Nice to see your artist glow when people make a fuss about his work. The other day in the bank as he was hanging his exhibit in the branch in Haymarket, Virginia he was surrounded by female bankers.
They really love his work and he handled them changing their minds many times regarding where each picture should be placed. In the end he put them exactly where he wanted them but they think the decision was theirs.
He is very good at handling women. I guess that comes from having to deal with me all these years. Many would say he deserves a medal for putting up with me.
