Hang this piece of art in your dinning room and sit back and enjoy some interesting conversation.
This statue of a monk caught Tony's eye during a trip to Rome. It has gone through an amazing transformation. It is a stunning example of Tony Karp's genuis.
Musings of a muse
I have been distracted for the past few months and lost my focus on Tony's art. But I am back now.
As you browse through this blog or if you have you came here from the
Techno-Impressionist Museum or the
Museum Store you have seen lots of different styles.
But we have found that people like to categorize or label things and so Tony calls this particular style transformism. And it means that he takes an image and completely transforms it into something else. If I hadn't told you this was a statue of monk you probably would have been hard pressed to see the original form.
So if you purchase this image and hang it in your dinning room your guests are sure to ask you about it. They like you will find themselves looking at it again and again. And each new glance will reveal something different or something more. Yes this is very interesting art.
