The
Techno-Impressionist collection contains lots of images of "us". We are best friends and spend lots of time together. It is only natural that there are lots of images of us together.
As with many artists, Tony uses what is before his eyes. He sees things that other people don't see. It has taken a while for this image to evolve and he is not finished with it yet. I sat with Tony as he worked on this last night. It is representational and not, symbolic and not.
I decided to publish it today as way of encouraging my artist to keep going, to make his vision clearer to let go and see where it takes him. I will publish more iterations as they evolve.
Many of the great artists (Picasso, Van Gogh, Lautrec) to name a few used the science of the day to enhance their vision and they also always kept their own council. Tony clearly is using the science of today and he most definitely keeps his own council. He does what pleases him creates art that he likes and hopes you will like it too.
It is the science of today that will allow Tony to make perhaps hundreds of versions. Each one another step on the way to the final image. Only Tony knows when he has reached the end.
He sometimes asks me what I think and I tell him. On occasion he will use my suggestion, on occasion it will trigger a better idea and most of the time he ignores it. But I only strive to encourage him to create, not to tell him what to do. After 40 years I can tell you that telling Tony what to do is, at best, a fools errand. It is all part of why I love him. It makes him so interesting, it makes our lives so interesting. It is never, ever dull around here.
