It has been an unusual spring. It's been cold, we had some incredible winds and lots of rain. The apple trees are filled with blossoms. The grass looks like green velvet and the dandelions are growing like mad. We have lots and lots.
We don't use fertilizer, we like the dandelions. Who said the only thing that can grow in your yard is grass. The people who make chemicals of course.
It is just another example of how we hurt the environment and ourselves by using chemicals when it is not necessary. We let a greedy business set the rules and then like a bunch of lemmings, we follow.
So today I celebrate the dandelion. Grow and prosper little flower I ain't a followin' any more.
I am lucky because I was raised by people with common sense and they gave me some.
