About this image This is a very early Tony Karp. He had started to use "Painter" and he had gotten a really nice graphics tablet and pen. He was playing with brushes.
It is a picture of us. Tony's facing right and I'm facing left. We really are that close. As they say "best buds". Tony was just beginning to formulate
Techno-impressionism and the blending of art and technology. He was finding his "voice". Tony would say he was just playing.
Musings of a muse Last night was wonderful. We had a number of Tony's pieces in the silent auction at the Red Cross Gala. We sold over 60% of the pieces in the auction and there was a bidding war on two of them. When the item starts at a fixed price and people bid it up and it is the only chance to get this item, they call it a Dutch auction. People had lots of nice things to say about Tony's art. This was great feedback for the artist. We felt very happy and today we are still floating on air. It is a nice feeling.
This artist's muse is very pleased, we're making real progress towards make him famous in Haymarket and Tony is having fun doing it.
What we did last night was put up a successful miniature exhibit in a space we saw for the first time at 11:00 AM yesterday morning. It was in a ballroom and at one point we used a flash light to help people see the art. They dimmed all the lights for atmosphere. Next time we will be prepared.
