We had just spent a lovely afternoon in the National Gallery in Washington DC. We decided to find Chinatown and have dinner there. So we started walking. It was a bit like old times, visiting a museum and going to dinner. Except we where in DC, not New York.
We're in the city so rarely these days that it seems strange to walk down a sidewalk. We're really two little county mice now. (Well maybe not so little.)
The sun was setting and this street lamp caught Tony's eye. This work has gone through many iterations. He's worked on it, put it away, gone back to it several times. Finally the artist is satisfied that it's best it can be.
When I look at it I see a magical street light, one that is pointing the way to a bright future. We're trying to make sure we do something every day. It's whatever comes to mind. In these troubled times it's so important to keep going. You never know when something good will happen.
