About this image
This is a flower that is growing outside the window of Tony's studio. I water this plant every day and all I see is a pretty little flower. Tony however, saw something more, something special. It's the vision thing.
Part of looking for something to change the way Tony works includes him going back through all his lens and filters to see what he can find. Lately he has been using a very rare Softomat R1 lens from Canon on the camera. He has had this lens for a very, very long time. With this lens he gets the look that the old movies used to have where all the women had perfect alabaster skin.
He could have stopped with what can from the camera but after bringing the image into the computer, he played with the tonal ranges.
He shows me wonderful images all the time but this one made me gasp it was so beautiful. When I have a strong reaction to his work it encourages Tony to tweak some more and to see if he can make it better. It's all part of the interaction between the artist and his muse.
Musings of a muse
The Bull Run Observer ( al local paper here in Haymarket, Virginia) ran a great article about Tony. He is really famous in Haymarket. You can read the article
here.We will be officially opening Tony's studio to the public this month.. You can see the pictures in each of the different galleries in the studio here on
Musings of a muse.. Tony is very kind he actually lets us use part of the studio as our home. It great to be surrounded by art.
We'll begin selling the prints on-line in August. It's a lot of work, but we are having fun. Tony has always wanted me to work on making him famous. We have come a long way in just a few months. Who knows what the future will bring.
