We walk up and down the rolling hills of the Virginia countryside where we live and Tony takes pictures as we go. Today's image demonstrates his vision. This view caught his eye and allows everyone to experience his vision. There is only a hint of
Techno-Impressionism. in this image. It is just the beauty of the scene.
Here is what led me to choose this image for today's post.
Yesterday I walked around a huge community here in Virginia. We are trying to mobilize residents of different areas to help in our
fight against the high voltage transmission lines that are supposed to fix a power shortage we don't have. We are up in arms because it will destroy the environment, the value of our homes etc. I was a bit shocked. I forget that not everyone lives in the country like me.
Living here, being surrounded by such beauty has changed how we live in many wonderful ways. We don't get out very much anymore, but there is lots of stimulation at home. This stimulation does not come with loud noises crowds of people and bad smells.
Here is what happened just last evening. We were sitting on the porch watching night fall when we heard this loud flapping noise. We looked up and there were 20 or more buzzards looking for a place to roost for the night. They usually do it further down the road where there is some forest. It was a very unusual sight and sound. Things like this happen almost every day. It makes staying home very interesting.
