We were wandering around Rome, taking in all the different neighborhoods. An interesting city, art is everywhere. This courtyard with these astounding colors and the beauty of the building was something to behold.
Recently Tony started to work on an electronic art book where he is compiling images from the sixteen glorious days we spent in Rome. This led him to play with this picture. It's perfect Techno-Impressionism. A blending of art and technology that goes from oh that's a nice image to a powerful one that holds your attention. Notice how the details in the building come to the forefront of the picture. Your eyes want to roam all over the rich brown and copper colors and drink in all those interesting little details that you didn't realize were there.
You have to forgive me. I have been reading a book about Georgia O'Keefe. Her work is the work of a genius. The book quotes lots of art critics. Some of what they say in nonsense. Every time I read stuff like this, I think, go post and lay it on thick.
Really Tony has created a wonderful picture. I'm bugging him to make a print so I can hang it in the living room gallery. And you thought being an artist's muse was easy.
UpdateAfter reading this post Tony went and made the print. It is gorgeous. Thank you sweet artist - the muse is a happy camper.
