My name is Marilyn Karp and I am an artist's muse. The artist is
Tony Karp. The musings in this blog range from talking about Techno-Impressionism and the art of Tony Karp to whatever is on my mind that day. Do you know another artmuse with a blog.
I started blogging thanks to Tony Karp who wrote the software that publishes this blog and his art as well. I was surround by bloggers, my son (who is quite famous) and my husband (Tony) who is also quite famous. I couldn't be left out.
People sometimes complain that I switch gears too quickly, that they don't understand because I have changed the subject and they are still thinking about what we were talking about. I think as you read this blog you are going to see that trait here as well. The good news is that no matter what the musing, there will always be interesting art to look at.
People would describe me as an activist. What drives me to be active is that I want to help build and ensure the best possible future for the children. One of those children is my granddaughter. I also have a darling grand nephew and niece. They are all under five.
What is happening in the world and what we do about it is going to have huge implications for them. As a mother I would give my life to my child if he needed it. That is how strongly I feel about children. I know there are lots of parents, grandparents, and aunts and uncles who feel the same way. The future belongs to the children. We have to work to make it a good one.
I read the other day that children are beginning to feel like we grownups don't care about the future. It was such a sad comment on the times we live in.. We have to give the children hope and we have to help them.
I feel very strongly about what is happening in the world. So when I rant it is from the heart. I truly hope to reach people and to motivate them to get involved.
I also feel very strongly about the art of Tony Karp. And so each post comes with a piece of his art. It is interesting to pair your thoughts with someone's art.
Blogging is lots of fun and it is true that it does make you feel better. I also blog in the hope that someday the children in my family will read this blog and it will help them to understand this time in America better.
