We've shown Tony's portfolio to a gallery owner who is taken by Tony's use of light. In many of his images it is as though the image was lit from within. And sometimes he plays with the light as he works on the image.

So I have combed through the portfolio and selected images that among other things show an interesting use of light. Tony is not working in a studio where he would set up the lighting. He's capturing the image before his eyes and that includes the natural lighting.

Sometimes he will use that lighting to make a more interesting picture. He may play with the contrast or add color. He just works on the image until it pleases him. But for him lighting is just a part of the whole. The challenge for Tony is to take that moment in time and work on it until that interesting image becomes clear, clear enough to make you want to look at it, to explore the work.
