We're having a big snow storm here in Virginia. I went out for a walk early this morning, it was good exercise. It was beautiful but the snow is blowing every which way and not sticking to the trees as much as it did on our last snow day.
This image is from the snow day more than a week ago. The little bird is sitting on the dogwood just outside our living room window when the artist known as Tony Karp captured this image. He worked on it for several days. It's hanging in the living room gallery and it looks like a looks just like you are looking out the window. It's really lovely.
Here's what really on my mind.
Let's have another climate summit. There is nothing stopping us. We have a little momentum so let's keep going. Are we so hung up in protocol nonsense that we won't continue to work on saving the planet and the human race. Perhaps we have all just lost our minds. This is all about our children and grandchildren. It's there world we are talking about. How dare we destroy their future.
Here's Tony's idea for health care reform. We figure that there must be at least 50 million people in the United States that are for health care reform. We'd ask everyone of these people to donate $5 for themselves and each member of their family. We can raise a quarter of a billion dollars this way. We could then bribe each senator with $2 million dollars to vote for meaningful health care reform. We think this would work because look what Lieberman is willing to do for only $1 million from the insurance industry. These guys actually come pretty cheap.
